Supplies

~ Worsted weight yarn, 4-ply, any color you want

~ Size 8 (5 mm) knitting needles

~ Crochet Hook (for size see the tutorial below)

~ 240 Pony Beads, any color(s) you want

~ Stitch holder

~ Yarn needle

~ 2 small buttons

~ Sewing needle and thread; only needed if the holes of the buttons you choose are too small to be sewn on with the knitting yarn and the yarn needle

Abbreviations

~ st - stitch

~ sts - stitches

~ k - knit

~ p - purl

~ abkst - add a bead and then knit the stitch

~ abpst - add a bead and then purl the stitch

~ k2tog - knit two stitches together

~ yo - yarn over

~ garter sts - knit all rows

Beaded Sweater

Hello, doll friends!

Not long ago Josefina asked for a red sweater to wear with the skirt of her meet outfit, but she also wanted something extra added to it, so Mama came up with a beaded pattern. The sweater itself is based on the pattern she used to make the Basic Long Knitted Sweater, but it has the extra pizzazz because of all the white beads that were worked into it. The instructions will show you how to add beads to your knitting, and it's a lot easier than it might look 😉

Didn't it turn out beautifully? Beads are everywhere! Josefina loves it, and proudly wears it with her meet skirt and a pair of white boots.

Here is the back of it. More beads and two small white buttons finish off a special sweater for a special girl 😊

Welcome home, Maria!

Hello, everyone!

We have some very special news today! Our sister Maria, who went away for a while has finally returned home, and we're so happy to have her back! *

Of course we had to welcome her properly 😃

* The first Maria, an Our Generation Abril doll, was donated and sent to the EMS Buddy Group on Facebook, which gifts dolls, doll clothes, and accessories to children with life-threatening illnesses. The new Maria (American Girl Truly Me #82) is taking her place, and we just pretend that she went on a trip, and has finally arrived back home 😊

My Life As 2021 Halloween Costumes

These three adorable Halloween costumes come from the My Life As line, which is exclusively sold at Walmart. They are part of the brand's Halloween line for 2021.

Hiedra is wearing the Orange & Black Witch Costume. It consists of a dress with a high-low hemline, and is made out of a shiny, satin-like fabric in orange, green, and black.

Green ribbons criss-cross over the bodice, and another ribbon is attached around the waistline, tied into a bow in the front. The sides of the bodice are held in black, while the middle part as well as the sleeves are kept in orange, giving the appearance of a vest over the dress. The neckline is decorated with a slightly lighter green ribbon.

The skirt part is held in wide orange and green stripes, and has a sparkly orange tulle overlay. The inside of the skirt is lined in black. The dress closes in the back with velcro.

Another part of the costume is a black pointed hat, made out of thick felt. The ribbon with bow from the waist of the dress repeats itself here directly over the hat brim. An attached black elastic holds the hat in place on the doll's head.

Josefina is wearing the Black & Pink Cat Costume. It consists of a dress, which is made out of a soft velvet fabric in black and pink.

A white winking cat face is printed onto the front of the bodice, and pink and black cat ears decorate the upper part of the bodice, close to the neckline. The neckline and the sleeve cuffs are held in a black faux fur fabric. The skirt part is lined on the inside with a pink shiny satin fabric. A pink ribbon with a bow in the front decorates the waistline. The dress closes in the back with velcro.

Another part of the costume are pink, black, and green spotted tights, which look similar to a leopard design, as well as a black headband with pink and black cat ears.

A black tail is sewn to the back of the skirt part, made out of the same velvet material as the dress.

Luciana is wearing the Rainbow Unicorn Costume. It consists of a dress, which is made out of multiple colorful fabrics.

Velvet fabric in the colors pink, purple, teal, yellow, and orange form the bodice. There is a sparkly ribbon around the hem of the arm openings, and the little cap sleeves are made out of white tulle with sparkly multi-colored stars.

The skirt part is made out of an organza-type fabric, and the same colors as in the bodice were used; however, they sort of bleed into each other, which is a very nice touch. The same tulle that was used for the cap sleeves also layers the skirt. The dress closes in the back with velcro.

Attached to the bodice is a white hood, made out of velvet fabric, which has the Unicorn ears and horn attached. The horn is pink and the ears are white and pink. The hood has an opening in the back, which allows for the doll's hair to be pulled through.

Along with the dress come a pair of pink sparkly tights.

Here is a picture of the back of the hood, which shows the opening for the hair. This is really helpful for dolls with long hair.

We're very happy to add these adorable costumes to our closet, and look forward to wearing them again in the years to come.

Shoes - Sneakers

Here are all the sneakers we own. I am keeping this post as a running list; meaning it will be added to as we get more sneakers.

None of these shoes belong to any outfits, but were purchased separately. Any sneakers that belong to outfits or collections will be shown together with the outfit instead of here.

Photo Shoot With Sweet Hiedra

Hi there!

It's me, Hiedra 😊

As fall is finally starting to arrive for us, Mama decided to take me out for a little photo shoot before the air gets too chilly for me to wear my favorite summer outfit.
