Hello again, everyone!

The next part of our pirate-themed pieces for our new brother is this beautiful jacket. I have a feeling he will really like this....that is, if Luciana is going to let him have it. She got pretty attached to it during her photo shoot 😄

As of right now, Luciana is still wearing it, saying she is "breaking it in" for our future brother. Oh, sure....totally believable 😂

My Life As 2021 Halloween Costumes

These three adorable Halloween costumes come from the My Life As line, which is exclusively sold at Walmart. They are part of the brand's Halloween line for 2021.

Hiedra is wearing the Orange & Black Witch Costume. It consists of a dress with a high-low hemline, and is made out of a shiny, satin-like fabric in orange, green, and black.

Green ribbons criss-cross over the bodice, and another ribbon is attached around the waistline, tied into a bow in the front. The sides of the bodice are held in black, while the middle part as well as the sleeves are kept in orange, giving the appearance of a vest over the dress. The neckline is decorated with a slightly lighter green ribbon.

The skirt part is held in wide orange and green stripes, and has a sparkly orange tulle overlay. The inside of the skirt is lined in black. The dress closes in the back with velcro.

Another part of the costume is a black pointed hat, made out of thick felt. The ribbon with bow from the waist of the dress repeats itself here directly over the hat brim. An attached black elastic holds the hat in place on the doll's head.

Josefina is wearing the Black & Pink Cat Costume. It consists of a dress, which is made out of a soft velvet fabric in black and pink.

A white winking cat face is printed onto the front of the bodice, and pink and black cat ears decorate the upper part of the bodice, close to the neckline. The neckline and the sleeve cuffs are held in a black faux fur fabric. The skirt part is lined on the inside with a pink shiny satin fabric. A pink ribbon with a bow in the front decorates the waistline. The dress closes in the back with velcro.

Another part of the costume are pink, black, and green spotted tights, which look similar to a leopard design, as well as a black headband with pink and black cat ears.

A black tail is sewn to the back of the skirt part, made out of the same velvet material as the dress.

Luciana is wearing the Rainbow Unicorn Costume. It consists of a dress, which is made out of multiple colorful fabrics.

Velvet fabric in the colors pink, purple, teal, yellow, and orange form the bodice. There is a sparkly ribbon around the hem of the arm openings, and the little cap sleeves are made out of white tulle with sparkly multi-colored stars.

The skirt part is made out of an organza-type fabric, and the same colors as in the bodice were used; however, they sort of bleed into each other, which is a very nice touch. The same tulle that was used for the cap sleeves also layers the skirt. The dress closes in the back with velcro.

Attached to the bodice is a white hood, made out of velvet fabric, which has the Unicorn ears and horn attached. The horn is pink and the ears are white and pink. The hood has an opening in the back, which allows for the doll's hair to be pulled through.

Along with the dress come a pair of pink sparkly tights.

Here is a picture of the back of the hood, which shows the opening for the hair. This is really helpful for dolls with long hair.

We're very happy to add these adorable costumes to our closet, and look forward to wearing them again in the years to come.

Basic Knitted Jacket & Basic Knitted Beanie

Hello, everyone!

As you saw in previous posts, Mama knitted several jackets and beanies for us over the past few weeks, and also wrote the patterns for some of them. She made another, more basic jacket and wrote a pattern for it as well, and also added a basic beanie, which was modeled after the pompom ears beanie she made before.

The following pictures are of the basic jacket and beanie, which Mama made for a lady on Facebook. Luciana got to model them before they went on their way to their new home 😊

First, a picture from the front. Isn't it beautiful? The lady chose grey yarn with black buttons, and it just turned out so amazing!

And finally, a picture taken a bit sideways. We told Mama that we absolutely need to have a jacket and beanie in this exact same color 😄

Hooded Pocket Shawl

Mama wanted us to have a Hooded Pocket Shawl, but was unable to find a pattern online that was suitable, so, as she so often does, she made her own.

Spring Beret For American Girl Dolls

Along with the beautiful Spring Flared Sweater Mama made for us, and which you can see in this entry, she also made us a beret to go along with it.

Mama used the following yarn: Red Heart Super Saver Ombre in the color Sea Coral. Of course you can use any yarn you like.

Spring Flared Sweater For American Girl Dolls

Hello, everyone!

Mama was busy again, and this time she knitted a beautiful coat for us!

It's called Spring Flared Sweater For American Girl Dolls and is made from a pattern by Janet Longaphie, who has uploaded it on ravelry. The instructions can be found HERE.

This is the front of the coat. You can see how the colors change from lighter to darker or vise versa.

And here is a view of the back. Mama did not plan to make the back in the darker shade or the front in the lighter shades. This was pure fate!

Along with this coat Mama also made a beret as well as a pom pom ears beanie.

Summer Snapshot

Summer has come to an end, and the cooler fall temperatures have set in. Right now the weather is a bit strange; in the morning it's very chilly, but a couple of hours later you can still go outside with shorter pants, a t-shirt, and without a jacket. In the evening the temperatures drop again.

Mama showed us a snapshot earlier today she took of us during the heat of the summer, which, where we live, was still a few weeks ago. This picture, however, was taken in August, and Mama forgot all about it until now. Of course I have to show it to you 😊

Here we are, on a walk with our puppies. Luciana has Stella, and I have Teddy. Since it was so hot that day, we didn't want to leave the house without a cold, refreshing beverage....after all, you got to stay hydrated! Luciana chose a coke, and I settled for a grape soda.

We had a good summer, and I hope that fall will be a fun time as well.
