Supplies

~ Worsted weight yarn, 4-ply, any color you want

~ Size 8 (5 mm) knitting needles

~ Stitch holder

~ Yarn needle

~ 2 small buttons

~ Sewing needle and thread; only needed if the holes of the buttons you choose are too small to be sewn on with the knitting yarn and the yarn needle

Abbreviations

~ st - stitch

~ sts - stitches

~ k - knit

~ p - purl

~ k2tog - knit two stitches together

~ yo - yarn over

~ stockinette sts - knit one row, purl one row

~ garter sts - knit all rows

Hello, doll friends!

Mama has been very busy over the past weeks to add to our wardrobe for the colder months, and she knitted several sweaters and tops for us. The one I want to show you today is a basic long sweater, which you can make in any color or color combination imaginable.

Photo Shoot With The Gorgeous Josefina

Hello, everyone!

This is my first time posting in this blog since my arrival at home last month. Maria wanted to do a photo shoot with me, and I simply couldn't tell her no 😊

The first three pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago already, after I changed out of my meet dress into modern clothes. You can see my hair was still in its original braid at that time:

The rest of the pictures were taken today. We thought the styling chair would make a fun prop. I'm wearing a new top Mama made. She will have a pattern up for it soon 😉

Here I pulled little sister Luciana into the picture with me, who is also wearing a new sweater Mama recently made. A pattern for this one will be coming soon as well.

By the way, did you know I'm the oldest of all of us?

~ Yarn needle

~ 2 medium black buttons

~ Sewing needle and black sewing thread; only needed if the holes of the buttons you choose are too small to be sewn on with the knitting yarn and the yarn needle

~ c1 - color one; used for the body of the dress and the sleeves

~ c2 - color two; used for the ruffles

~ sts - stitches

~ k - knit

~ p - purl

~ yo - yarn over

~ stockinette sts - knit one row, purl one row

~ k2tog - knit two stitches together

~ ch - chain

~ sc - single crochet

~ hdc - half double crochet

~ dc - double crochet

Knitted & Crochet Flamenco Dress

Hello, doll friends!

I'm back today with another of Mama's creations. We dolly girls think that she outdid herself with this one because she made us a Flamenco dress! We absolutely love it! Mama said it looks a lot harder to make than it actually is, and that anyone who can can knit and crochet can make this dress without any problems.

Let's see our beautiful sister Luciana modeling it for us:

This is what it looks like from the front....

....as well as from the back. It simply closes with two buttons

~ Worsted weight yarn, 4-ply, any two colors you want

~ c1 - color one; the color used for the body of the tree skirt

~ c2 - color two; the contrasting color, used for stitching the pieces together and for the crocheted border

~ st - stitch

~ sts - stitches

~ stockinette sts - knit one row, purl one row

~ m 1 st - increase by one more stitch

~ k2tog - knit two stitches together

~ cross st - with your yarn on the yarn needle, sew two pieces together in a stitch as is used for cross stitching

~ ch 1 - chain 1

~ sc - single crochet

~ sl st - slip stitch

Knitted Star-Shaped Christmas Tree Skirt

Hello everyone!

Christmas and the holiday season have been over for more than a month, but I didn't want to wait all year to show you the tree skirt Mama made for our beautiful pink tree.

Take a look at it:

This is what it looks like when the tree skirt is around the base of the tree

And here we have the tree skirt by itself. I forgot to block it before taking the picture 😞

This tree skirt was made to fit spaciously around a 2 foot tall Christmas tree. It measures 22 3/4 inches across from one point to the point on the opposite side.
