~ Fasten off

~ Repeat rows 1-10 for the bottom row of the other side of the dress

At This Point, You Need To Do The Following

~ With wrong sides (p sides) facing you, sew the dress together at the sides, starting at the armholes and ending at the beginning of the bottom ruffles, using c1

~ Switch to c2 and sew the ruffles together at the sides

~ Turn the dress right side out

Sleeves

~ With right side (k side) of dress facing you, knitting needles, and c1, pick up 18 sts, going from the neckline down to the armhole, and back up to the opposite neckline = 18 sts

~ Rows 1-20 - work in stockinette sts, start row 1 with p

~ Cast off

~ Repeat for second sleeve

Sleeve Ruffle

~ Row 1 - with right side (k side) of sleeve facing you, crochet hook, and c2, make 10 sc into the 18 sts of the sleeve, dividing the 10 sc between the first and last sts of the sleeve, ch 2 = 10 sc

~ Row 2 - 2 hdc in each sc, ch 2 = 20 hdc

~ Row 3 - *2 hdc in next 2 hdc, 1 hdc in next hdc*, repeat from * to * until end of row, ch 2 = 32 hdc

~ Row 4 - hdc in each hdc, ch 2 = 32 hdc

~ Row 5 - 2 hdc in each hdc = 64 hdc

~ Fasten off

Finishing The Dress

~ With wrong sides (p sides) facing you, sew the necklines and the sleeves closed, using c1

~ Switch to c2 and sew the sides of the sleeve ruffles together

~ Using c2, sew one of the sides of the neck ruffles together, then, with a few stitches, sew the bottom edge of the neck ruffle to the body of the dress. This will ensure that the neck ruffle will lay on the dress. Once you get around to the opposite end of the ruffle, sew the last two sides together as well

~ With c1, sew the bottom edge of the button band that will hold the buttons to the edge of the dress where the division was made. This will ensure a flat finish

~ With c1 or black sewing thread, sew the buttons to the button band, opposite the buttonholes

~ Weave in all ends

Rose

* This rose is meant to be worn in your doll's hair, but it would also look very lovely attached to the dress; maybe in the center right below the front neckline ruffle, or off to the side a little bit, right above the bottom ruffle *

~ Row 1 - ch 27

~ Row 2 - sc in 5th ch from hook, *ch 2, skip 1 ch, sc in next ch*, repeat from * to * until end of row, ch 1

~ Row 3 - *sc in next sc, ch 1, 3 dc in ch 2 space, ch 1*, repeat from * to * until end of row, including the last ch 4 space

~ Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing

~ Form the rose by holding the short beginning thread, and winding the petals around from the center to the outside

~ Sew the petals together by staying as close as possible to the center of the rose. When all the petals are secure, add a few stitches through the center of the rose for added stability

~ Weave in all ends

~ To use the rose as a hair decoration for your doll, fasten it to a bobby pin or a small hair clip
